Lakers injury report!Westbrook is expected to return to play against golden State and Carmelo continues to be sidelined
Earlier in the day, the Lakers released the team injury report: Anthony (right hamstring strain), Nunn (right knee bone collision) will not play;James (sore left knee/fluid) and Westbrook (lower back strain) are questionable;Howard (strained lower back) and Davis (sore right wrist) are likely to play.
After the Lakers’ practice today, Coach Tony Vogel talked about the team’s injuries, saying, “Russ practiced today, moved a lot better, felt a lot better, so he’ll probably play tomorrow.Carmelo Anthony is likely to miss tomorrow’s game with a strained right hamstring.Carmelo Anthony has missed three straight games because of injuries.
Westbrook sat out the lakers’ last loss to Portland for the first time this season.In an interview, Westbrook said he felt discomfort in his back during the game against the Bucks because he was not used to sitting for long periods of time.As for tomorrow’s game, Westbrook said he feels good and will decide whether to play early tomorrow based on how his body feels.
It’s worth noting that none of the lakers’ midseason trades took place.”I think it was good for our team after the trade deadline,” Vogel said. “People were in good spirits in the video room and in the gym today.”Vogel went out of his way to praise Tucker, saying, “I think he’s been great in his last game. He’s doing a good job of picking and rolling and creating space.”
